Volunteer at the organic peach farm
Written by Administrator

It is winter but still a busy time at the Ananda Marga organic peach farm in Los Angeles. This is the prooning season. There are thousands of trees to be prooned and prepared for a new crop.

This is a good opportunity to learn a valuable farming skill. Right prooning means a good crop on the following season.

The farm is the largest organic farm in LA County and located in the high desert. It is also a beautiful and peaceful place for meditation in the company of an Ananda Marga monk.

Would you like to experience life in one of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods of the world?

Great opportunity to volunteer at the Ananda Marga Office in Queens, New York City. This office overviews all Ananda Marga activities in North and Central America, and the Caribbean.

You will live and work in the company of senior Ananda Marga monks who have been mediating and doing social service for years.

The office provides an environment to learn communication, computers, and networking skills. You will also have the opportunity to learn and practice meditation and yoga techniques for your personal development.

Part of the premisses have been recently renovated and there is still ongoing renovation work and plans to build a roof-top garden as well as improving the little "cakra garden" outside the house.

If you live in NY City you may volunteer at the center during the day otherwise you can get room and board as you volunteer.

For more information call Dada Rainjitananda at 718-898-1603.
